Super, super thin card stock.
Holy smokes. I own almost 100 decks, Mass Market and Indie alike. I have to say, this is the thinnest, most fragile card stock I’ve ever seen used on a deck. Think of the card stock you buy at Office Depot to use in your printer, then divide that width in half. That’s how thin it is. The cover of the companion book is actually twice as thick as the cards themselves. The weird thing... I’m usually the last person to get worked up about crappy card stock. It’s usually not that important to me. But, this is just too silly. It’s basically paper! It’s hard to believe the artist signed off on this as a prototype. It’s terrible. And cheap. And makes the deck impossible to shuffle and therefor unsatisfying to use. I’m super disappointed. I’ll never buy from this publisher again.
