I purchased these phones for a friend close to the same time I ordered another set of AT&T phones for myself. Both quit working less than 3 months after the purchase. They both started displaying a message on the handsets saying the base had no power or the handset was too far away from the base. Nothing had changed since when we set these up. I followed the troubleshooting steps in the user guide with no luck. After lengthy troubleshooting with an AT&T associate in another country reading through a script and doing the exact same things I had already done, the phones still didn't work. I was told I have to send them back to AT&T at my own expense so they can send me replacements. Since it was after 30 days, Amazon will not engage. I am very disappointed I have to pay to return two sets of defective phones. Live and learn.
