WELL. Lesson learned. First, the product was defective. The software installed properly and I completed the instructions exactly, but the drawing pad area simply wasn't responsive at all. This, I can forgive. It stinks to receive a product that doesn't work, but it happens, and a simple exchange usually fixes it. What I cannot forgive is the boatload of Malware that came along with the software installation. It took me HOURS to get it off my Mac, by which time, the hardware being defective was the least of my frustrations. I should have done a quick google search prior to buying this product, because had I done so, I would have had the opportunity to read through the reddit threads of other users finding the same malware. So, lesson learned: always research hardware prior to installing its software, even if it has 2,000+ reviews on Amazon that make it look like a reputable product. And for those of you who already purchased this and think it's going swimmingly? Check your files.
