When I saw this product on a blog I got very excited as I typically have hot feet and do not like wearing socks. I immediately ordered the four pack so I could give a pair to my grandmother who suffers from diabetic dryness. The day they arrived that night I put lotion all over my feet and put the socks on. I have to admit, upon taking the socks out of the bag I thought they looked small, but one never knows how much something will really stretch. On the inside of these socks is a almost circular piece of silicone that should fit perfectly around the heel of your foot. For the most part it does, but it didn't cover the sides of my heel too well and, for me, that's where a lot of my dryness is. When I woke up the next morning I was in quite a bit of pain - yes, physical pain. I am not prone to ankle swelling. I've always thought I had fairly small ankles with long feet (size 11 regular). As I mentioned earlier when I took the socks out of the bag they looked small, well, they do not stretch very well. When I woke up the socks were deeply cutting into my skin. If I was prone to swelling ankles or even normally having large ankles I could understand how this may cut into my skin, but I don't. My ankles don't swell and they are fairly small. If these socks came in a larger size I would definitely say get them. But unless you wear a size 6 petite I don't see how these would be comfortable.
