Trying to get a refund. Maybe I received old test kits, but the kits returned negative to negligible results for everything tested. Of particular note, the tests in the pictures show the 4 water samples that were tested with 3 trials each (12 kits) showing negative results for bacteria. In other words, after the 48 hours, all of the samples were still purple and had not turned yellow. I had those same samples tested at our water treatment facility. The pictures with the Q-trays show that one of the water samples is positive for bacteria (total coliform and E. Coli). The water sample was from the Chesapeake Bay. The Q-tray picture showing yellow is the total coliform and the one showing fluorescence under UV light is the E. Coli result. We purchased these tests for my 6th graders Science project. We were disappointed. Even the chlorine tests showed up negative with the test kits whereas the water treatment facility showed positive for chlorine in the tap water and filtered water samples. Again, all the same water samples were used in the test kits as at the water treatment facility, in the same containers, drawn at the same sources, at the same time. I just want my money back. This was a large investment for my kid's project testing water cleanliness and it would have turned out to be a bust if it wasn't for the assistance of our water treatment facility.
