Very disappointing purchase! I have been an ultra loyal Norelco customer and have used the Philips Norelco brand exclusively for 30 years - and year after year they are getting cheaper and stingier with their products. This almost $100 shaver does not even come with a simple flimsy storage pouch anymore to keep it protected and tidied up together with the attachment and cleaning brush. I am not even talking about a much sturdier travel case here ... that I got courtesy of the manufacturer last in the late 1980s. Then the cases turned into pouches, which in turn got flimsier from year to year. Now not even those anymore. Somewhere along the line the previously free charging stand, just another cheap plastic piece, got dropped to. At a price of $100, how many bucks does this shave of the profit? Good luck traveling with this and relocating the various loose flying parts amongst your other stuff - just when you need it last. Of course there is a version of this shaver with a travel case and stand - at a steep upcharge of $30-40. For a plastic box? And it comes with a beard trimmer - except I don’t need one! And then there is the case of false advertisement: the images on Amazon show a hinged razor head under a running faucet for cleaning. You can take off the razor head, but it is not hinged! It comes off completely. So yet another part flying loosely about while maybe you want to keep the shaver opened to dry out. At least Norelco finally, and thankfully, got rid of the clumsy, bulky cleaner contraption in this version that seemed to have the primary purpose of further upping the price. This is pathetic. I am so disappointed that I am consider returning it and checking out Braun - for the first time in 30 yrs. Norelco does not appear to be focused on their customers, nor care, if they can make a few more pennies on the bottom line. But at some point enough is enough - my patience is at an end.
