Literally a bodice buster
So, maybe this baby boomer male isn't the audience for this book, which is more romance novel (looking like it might become a series) than a murder adventure. Lingering gazes, frustrated loves, dusky lovers, and as the title of this review states, literally a bodice buster - twice! if one is into that sort of thing. I AM NOT To have Amazon, or whomever compared it to James Patterson is a travesty of the highest sort verging on mis-representation, and Patterson should sue. An interesting set-up is bungled by inept composition and the aforementioned romance novel staples. This novel is an insult to 21st century women. Yes, I know all genders can be sexually obsessed (the heroine here is) but to make a contemporary heroine the puppet of a male and even though this male is ambiguously a manipulative genius, though not the villain, verges on the criminal. Ms. McCray needs to concentrate more on plot, and work out her obsessions in another forum. Cut 50 pages of this bodice busting c**p and give us more substance.
