My experience started out as a 5-star, but it bit the dust (literally?) less than 4 months later. It's a great price, so my expectations weren't high. I used to have a shop-vac when I lived in a house, but now that I'm in an apartment with mostly wooden floors, I wanted something that was compact, light, & versatile. This fit the bill...and then the brush rotator stopped rotating (it rotates at an incredibly slow rpm for the first 10 or seconds and then completely halts). It still sucks (heh heh, see what I did there?), but without the aid of the rotating brush (and for my fellow troubleshooters out there, I kept that brush clean AND emptied out the canister with each use), it's virtually useless on the rug in my living room, but it DOES still suction up the wood floor dustings (I wanted an all-in-one to save room in my smaller space). Well, Dirt Devil, you ARE the devil and since there's no return/exchange option to make things right (it's past 3 months), I'm ditching you at the dumpster for the hopes of finding one that's more involved and attentive to the details. You wooed me and wowed me for our first couple of months together but now I see you for who you really are.
