NOT WORTH THE PREMIUM PRICE. Tastes as good as at least one other brand of tahini (Whole Foods 365)
A group of friends and I actually did a double blind taste test on this with Soom and Whole Foods 365 tahini, and we could not guess which one is better or even different from which. Don't get me wrong - the taste of this tahini is very good, but the 365 tahini tastes JUST AS GOOD, but at a much lower price point. Just to give you some idea - Soom tahini as it's sold on Amazon is $8.25 for one 11 oz jar, 365 tahini is $6 for 16 oz, this is 75 cents an oz versus 37 cents an oz, Soom's tahini is almost DOUBLE the price. The taste and the texture of both tahninis are extremely similar. I've been using the 365 tahini to make hummus (following Solomonov's recipe) and the hummus has consistently turned out to be fantastic, on par with the flavorful light creamy smooth hummus you'd get at Zahav's or Dizengoff's. If you don't believe me, at least try the taste test yourself with another brand of tahini.
