I purchased these steps for an older cat for a second bedroom. In the first bedroom I have an older model - but the same company - Pet steps I - they are the first generation. I could tell these were a bit narrower by the picture and that did not bother me. What I really don't like about them is the depth of the steps. I've posted 2 pictures so you can see the difference between the old model and the new one. The old one I guess is no longer available. I'd honestly return these if it wasn't such a pain. They are big and bulky to package up for a return. They look like they will work - if the cat will use them use. She uses the older ones so maybe she will. Just wanted to give folks a heads up - they are steeper and the steps are narrower and not as deep as the old model. I'm pretty disappointed - but it's not like they are defective - just not what I was hoping. Thus the 2 start rating - I don't like them.
