From conventionally raised cows with hormones and antibiotics
This is such a good price, compared to the Great Lakes Gelatin, so I called Now Foods to inquire about the beef source. They are from conventionally grown cattle, which are raised with feed containing hormones and antibiotics. So, if you really care about your health, you should look into the Great lakes brand, which costs more, but are from grass-fed cattle.
I used Knox for a few days and could tell that it contained hormones, because my breasts became tender again and also, the skin on my face became scaly. Switched to Great Lakes and the tenderness went away. My skin looks better on the GL brand, too.
