This product would be a great assistant for the elderly and/or those with memory loss issues. I purchased this for my dad who cannot remember to take his medication. However, after following the instructions included with this, the test phase did not work. I hoped that that would be the only problem with this. We followed the instructions step by step, the the alarm only beeped one small beep, not continuously like it is supposed to, and the light never illuminated at all. After changing the batteries several times and going over the instructions several times, setting the correct time and the alarms, the item did not work. To make matters worse, according to the information on Amazon, when I tried to return it, says this item is not eligible for a return!!! This is an $80.00 product that DOES NOT WORK as described, and as someone's life could depend on this as a reminder to take life saving medication, I find this absolutely unacceptable. Especially for elders who are trying to live independently and for family that are unable to provide daily caregiver functions.
