Poor, thin glass broke on the first day
Unfortunately I purchased two of these French presses because they do break, say if you drop them while washing them etc.. The first time I used this French press all was going well until I washed it and noticed that it had already cracked. The crack was small and I was able to carefully continue using it - a few days later the crack had spread all over the French press and it is no longer usable. I noticed that the glass was about half as thin as my previous French press from another maker.
Golden rules for buying French presses:
1) Think about going to a brick and mortar store so you can see the thickness of the glass.
2) If you do buy one on Amazon make sure you don't see reviews like this one.
3) Don't buy this French press.
Why these people would use thin, extremely fragile glass for a French press is beyond me. Spend more on good glass and charge more if you need to - is that so hard?
