This item had been used twice for less than 10 minutes each time. My little one said it felt really hot to the touch and asked if that's normal. I placed my hand on it and felt little zaps. Upon inspecting the ball I noticed several imperfections in the glass. I decided I was going to return this item later when we got home, but hadn't gotten to tell my little one yet. I walked by as he was getting ready for bed and saw him crawl under his play table. Suddenly there was a loud pop as the plasma ball exploded. He said he has just plugged it in. Thankfully he was shielded by the table, but the glass flew everywhere in fine shards. This item is incredibly unsafe. I spent 20+ minutes reading through reviews before choosing this itrm and hadn't seen any very bad reviews, suddenly today there were many on there with similar issues dating back years ago. Can a seller hide bad reviews during the holiday season? Also, when I added it to my cart and went to complete the purchase the item was 19.99, however after the purchase I was charged 24.99 for that item. This item is incredibly unsafe. Please do not purchase for your child. I can't even imagine what damage it could've caused if my son had been right in front of it.
