SAVE YOUR MONEY and just buy a regular ol 10 buck OBD II Y-Adapter!
I don't normally leave a review for a product that I don't use so I'm being kinda fair and giving 2 stars since Amp Research steps are AMAZING and a great company overall ... but this thing is like Best Buy trying to sell a HDMI cable for $50 when it's only worth a buck ..... This is basically only an OBD II Y-Adapter .... The only thing that makes it cool is the mounting brackets but that's not worth the $70 premium whatsoever!!!
Do yourself a favor and search for the "Diageng Right Angle OBD II 2 Y Splitter" or something along those lines and buy that. It's EXACTLY the same thing as what yo are buying here but $70 less as it only costs about $10 or less. I have that Giageng Y splitter and my powersteps still work perfect on my 2016 Silverado.
Plug the $10 Y-Adapter in and then plug in your Amp Research Powerstep plug into one part of the Y and whatever else you may have into the other ... or just leave it open so you have the free OBD II port like your suppose to for service, etc.
I am sure this thing works perfect ... BUT they are selling you a wire that costs them like I'm sure like .79 cents to make and charging you $79 .... INSANE!!! Especially when the same thing sells for less than 10 bucks elsewhere.
Just buy the same thing I got which a regular ol' OBDII Y-Adapter like this thing is and you saved 70 plus bucks! ;)
Your welcome :)
Sorry for bringing this score down from 5 stars but this just had to be said ... we spend anywhere from $1,200 up to $2K for the powersteps installed .... why are they trying to also Gouge you to death on something like this that is a dollar part? Great company Amp Research and outstanding product ... but this thing is a Straight RIP OFF!!!
