I'm extremely disappointed in this case. I had an iPad 3 and an OtterBox Defender case to go with it and never had any issues with it at all. In fact it was - and still is - by far the best tablet protecting case I've been able to find. Fast forward to just recently when I upgraded to the new iPad Air. I came here looking for an OttterBox Defender case and couldn't find one. Went to their website and couldn't find one there either. I ended up buying a temporary case from Amazon until I could find a Defender. Finally they became available here on Amazon. I purchased it, though I thought $89 was a little steep for a case, especially since I only spent around $50 or so for the last one. However, I felt at the time it was worth it as I'd become a fan of the Defender series. I just received the case in the mail. Opened it up and immediately noticed the magnets that were in the lid to put the device to sleep when the lid is closed were not there. Doing a bit of researching, it seems OtterBox has decided to remove one of the main benefits of the case (the magnets for putting the device to sleep when the lid is closed) and jack the price up an extra $30 or so. Completely unacceptable, in my opinion. Come on, OtterBox. I've been a fan of your products for a while now. I've used them for my tablets as well as my phones, and I've talked friends, family members, and coworkers into purchasing them as well. I expected much, much more from you than this.
