I love the design of the bowl, and it works well with Mastiffs. We went RVing and it kept our floor much drier than traditional bowls have on former trips. I wonder about the longevity of the rubber seal, however, and hope the company sells just that item if I need it in the future. If the seal shrinks, the entire concept of a lower water level in the center than the water in the outer bowl goes out the window. Already, there is not the tightest of seals between the bowl and the lid. Also, despite the bowl being "stainless," like most if not all other food or water "stainless" bowls I have bought for my dogs over the years a small rust spot has already appeared...and I have used the bowl only for a couple weeks. If the bowl wouldn't rust, and if I can buy replacement seals for a reasonable price when that time comes, I would rate this product a 5 for sure. For nearly 50 bucks, however, the bowl should not rust...at all...and especially not after only a short time.
