Should I Bother Finishing the Book?
I wasn't really hooked into the first part of the book. I was mildly put off by Ronnie's (Pakistani protagonist) comments about what "white people" do but I shook it off. But at 38% through the kindle book, Ronnie is in a housing development and the paragraph reads, "The houses had American flags outside; some had Blue Lives Matter flags. The occasional house had an old Trump flag. Ronnie made a note to avoid those people." Hmmm. I'm making a note to the author here that I no longer find this protagonist to be a sympathetic character and since I've been TRYING to find this book enjoyable and now don't even like the main character, I think I'm out at 38%.
