My laptop has three USB ports and I needed access to four for use at a conference of 3,000 people, using Cat5 cables and boosters. On the first day, everything was tested and in working order right out of the box (as shown in the first picture). On the second day, when it was to be used in a live setting, the top four USB docking stations went dead upon powering up the device (again, as shown). To compound the matter, the three working USBs weren't recognized by my laptop. Long story short, I powered off and unplugged both the docking station and cold booted my laptop. After restarting everything, nothing changed. In a pinch, I had to run to Best Buy and get a small Insignia four-port docking station. The Insignia docking station worked just fine. Disappointed in this Sabrent product to say the least; I returned it.
