It was very challenging to find the details of what is covered. Originally the Apple site simple said "Your iPod" but that is not the case. It covers additional support questions for a year and extends the manufacturers defect coverage for a year. It also covers the headphones and power/USB cable. None of which was worth it. What you really want is accidental damage coverage which is the most likely problem you will experience. The plan is designed to make money for apple with very little incremental cost to them. ou are better off getting an instore warranty. Many Visa/Mastercard have an extended warrany benefit that extend the manufacturers warrant and covers loss or damage. It is probably easier to use an instore plan but is it worth 25% or more of the cost of the iPod. I say Stay Away from the Apple Care plan! Note: I purchased two plans and called Apple 4 times now. None of my problems have been "covered" and each time they tell me to go see a Genius at the Apple store.
