"Switchblade" is a very short, competently written, story by Michael Connelly about one of the myriad of cases that Harry Bosch has solved during his time with the Open-Unsolved Unit of the LAPD (my rating 3.5 stars). The Kindle Book details a mere 72 pages for the book, but "Switchblade" only takes up 35% of that space with the remaining 65% taken up with an excerpt from Connelly's recent December 2013 release of "The Gods of Guilt" plus author information. This is not detailed in the book description. This is a total con by Connelly and his publisher in selling what is little more than an essay to promote the other book - my rating is based on this. I was stunned to see that this book is currently #52 Paid in Kindle Store. Buyer beware!
