Spelling and Grammatical Errors, Forced Rhymes
I really wanted to love this book, but I ended up returning it due to spelling and grammatical issues. It should be caramel and not carmel. Grandpa should be capitalized. The comma is in the wrong place in "I don't know about you but, I like variety!" There should be a comma and the subjunctive form of was should be used in "If everyone was the same wouldn't that be a shame?" A comma is missing and there are capitalization errors in "Oh How I Love My Brown Skin!" The forced rhymes made it choppy to read out loud. The story is a cute idea, and the illustrations are adorable, but young readers deserve books that are written better than this.
