The principle character is not Black. It's misleading.
I was disappointed. This book came up when I searched for African American children's books. I open it to find a girl who does not look African American to me. It's not necessarily her skin color but her skin color matched with her hair, she's not a Black child. I bought it so my child can see children that look like him. Very disappointed.
