I love the design and color of these towels, but they do not absorb liquids! They are fine to dry your hands, but if you try to clean up a spill on the counter, they push the water and liquid actually beads up on the surface of the towel. Same for drying dishes. These are fine for a decorative hand towel, but I would not recommend these for all purpose kitchen use. 8/2016 Update: I had hoped that after a few washings, these towels might become more absorbent, but it seems they are treated with something. They push water around on the counter or dish I'm trying to dry. Good thing they are nice looking, because they are merely decorative!
