For $96 you'd think this mailbox would provide decent protection against theft. This morning I walked out my front door on my way to my car only to see the locking plate of this mailbox dangling loosely in the breeze. Fitting the plate back on the mailbox revealed an obvious pry attack. The marks suggest a screw driver or something similarly sized. A f*&^%ing screwdriver was enough to break into this thing. This mailbox is basically just a theft deterrent, one step above a swing-open mailbox. If you want to pay $96 for a deterrent, this is apparently what you will get. If you actually want security against a screwdriver attack, this mailbox is clearly not the one.
