The cooking plate itself is great; however, the lid (that is a huge benefit in helping the bacon cook evenly) has a terrible chemical smell and the smell sealed into the bacon! I feel like this product is dangerous! I thought maybe it was just new smell so I put the lid on the dishwasher. The result? Everything that was in the dishwasher with it smells now. The smell did not come out of the lid either. This lid needs to be removed from the market. There is no doubt in my mind this thing leaked carcinogens into my food. I am very disappointed.
