After three cleanings of two area rugs - I wash them once a month, the nozzles that squirt cleaning solution plugged up. Checking the internet we found that clogged nozzles are a common complaint - and not at all easy to unplug. We called the Bissell company, who put us through some tests (have a screwdriver handy when you call the customer service line!) and recommended we take it to a local repairman.The Bissell- recommended repair person quoted me $89.95 to clean the machine and get it running again. Cleaning and belts are not covered under Bissell's warranty - making the warranty effectively useless. I had had a Bissell with a heater and an upholstery brush that lasted several years. I had hoped that the machine would be more durable without the heater - but I guess not. Now we're in a quandary over what to buy the next time, and I'm depressed over buying a rug cleaner that would only work for three times on two 5x8 area rugs!
