BEWARE!!!!! This product is not a safe product. I wish I actually read the reviews instead of only looking at the amount of stars for this product, super bad on my part. Within an hour of application our 23 pound cockapoo starting getting very red and itcy at site of the medicine. Called the 1800 # which no one answered, thought it was an emergency # for after hours. We washed off the med and gave her benadryl for allergic reaction, but she then started with symptoms of holding her head in a strange pattern, also at rest she was flinching. Called again in the morning and we were told to wash her several times with Dawn dishwasher detergent to strip away the med, but by then it was too late and already well into her system. We called the vet who told us he has had many animals come in with neurological condtions from these type of flea/tick meds but did not ever hear of permenant nerurological deificits. She is slowly getting better like the vet said she would, (we are on day #5 since using the med) we are praying she does not have any long term effects. Now that I have read the reviews this med should be taken off the market or at the minimum a better warning label about the supposed rare reactions with a live 1800 person stating to wash off the med with Dawn instead of regular dog shampoo. PLEASE THINK TWICE ABOUT TREATING YOUR DOG FOR FLEAS/TICKS WITH THIS MEDICATION.
