Exhibit A of white supremacy in the food book world
I’m sure that Pippa is “cute as a button” but there are a few areas where I wonder if she knowingly takes advantage of a system that benefits white entrepreneurs who plow over non-white cultures. For example, she calls products in Asian supermarkets “strange and alien.” Pippa combines disciplines across multiple countries and labels them “Asian” without respecting the nuances in different cultures within Asia. And what’s most offensive is that at no point does she lift up the culture by giving credit to mom and pop restaurants and businesses who provided the grunt work for her to be successful.
