I wanted this mail lamp to work in the WORST way. I purchased it because my uv lamp takes too long to cure my gel nail products and the price was right. I was preparing to start volunteering at local women's domestic violence shelters doing their nails for free, just to help them feel a tiny bit better about themselves and give them a little bit of time to talk to someone about everyday things. I wanted to be able to do as many women's nails as possible in the few hour slot of time given me, and my UV lamp was just taking too long to cure my gel products. I needed something that would do the job in a shorter amt of time. When it was delivered, it was well packaged, arrived in perfect condition(lights were all in tact & so was the housing),the design looked innovative, and I loved the idea that all you had to do was plug it in, and it basically runs itself. The directions were simple and easy to understand. I figured that I better try all my products and equipment on myself before I started volunteering, just to make sure I could follow through on my promises in the tiny window of time allowed me by the shelter. So you can understand my disappointment when I tried, multiple times, to cure my gel top coat, and, every time, it failed to cure it properly. Each time, it would leave my no-wipe top coat tacky. I tried various brands, thinking that maybe the UV light just worked better with one or the other, but, no matter WHAT brand/finish I used(no-wipe, regular, shiny, or flat)this LED light just never cured ANY of it completely. I was devastated. I had such high hopes for this unit, it just couldn't deliver. I really wanted this nail light to deliver, it just didn't, time after time. I'm going to have to order a different brand with more wattage. I do believe that IS the problem.I could be wrong but other than that one very important issue, everything else worked (the cord, the lights).I'm very disappointed in this particular product. I'm going to have to just another brand before I could even START my volunteering.
