I hate to do this, but this is a terrible product, especially at this price point. Every one of the components (plastic dome, heat pad, light fixture and bulb) way over priced and possibly defective. I bought the item for my husband as a Christmas present for $70. We also bought a non-name brand thermostat for the heat pad for $15, which you will need because without it the heat pad’s heat isn’t regulated. When we started using it to plant seeds in early March, we realized that the light bulb and/or the light fixture was defective- it flickered for a few minutes and went dead. We then bought a new light bulb ($10+shipping) and it still doesn’t work. Buying another light fixture would be about another $40. No way! I have already spent around $100 on this piece of junk! Don’t buy this- you will regret it!!! I have contacted the seller, DCS Solutions, and HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM THEM.
