Save your money. I was the purchasing agent for an art store and a graphic designer student in college when I bought Strathmore papers. This is nothing more than tiny sheets cut down from a larger sheet. I am still an artist and do copic design and paint in my free time. I don't say that to sound snobby or anything like that, I just want you to know where I am coming from and help you get the most for your money ( These items are not cheap). You can buy a 11" x 15" pad here on amazon and get the same amount of these size scraps from just 2 sheets, meanwhile the entire pad will cost you under 10$ and you'll still have 10 full sheets to use. It isn't rocket science to cut paper and then you have the freedom to choose the size you want. This paper has a texture and a tooth to it so you actually do NOT want to be using alcohol markers on it, that would be a waste. It will suck the ink up and bleed horribly ( that's why Bristol is used for stamping and copic coloring..it's a smooth and much less porous surface ). I sold paper for 10+ years and do know the attributes of various kinds of papers and this is nothing but trimmed sheets of watercolor paper. If you want texture visit your local art supply and ask for WC paper. You'll be shocked to find huge pads for the same price as these 20 sheets of photo size paper. I ordered this thinking it was a special blending medium to go with the inks, wrong! Sadly I am finding many of the Tim Holtz products to be overpriced and many crafters have no idea the products themselves are nothing more than another product he re-branded ( like his crafting pad, it's a Teflon cookie sheet and nothing more). I don't have any true art suppliers near me where i live now so I rely on ordering from amazon. Luckily they are wonderful about returns and welcome the feedback. I called Ranger and they were very unhelpful. In fact their reply ( no joke) was that if I wasn't happy ordering from amazon I could buy directly from them lol!!! ( At full retail price no less ) I said umm no I am unhappy with the product, not the supplier. Tim Holtz seems like a nice guy but when you brand something and it turns out to be a ripoff, it's you who looks bad. I had 3 defective Holtz items, Ranger did absolutely nothing, Amazon however handled it on the spot refunding my purchases. Don't be fooled ....you're buying a brand not a product.
