In 15 years or so of purchasing through Amazon, this is the first occasion on which I have been driven to submit a review. Don't be fooled by the artfully staged photo that makes this piece seem attractive. Though I wasn't expecting anything wonderful for the price, this could not even meet my minimal expectations. First of all, the packaging is inadequate which resulted in a few of the pieces being damaged upon arrival...crushed corners, and so forth. I decided to press on and build the piece anyway, but now as I assemble the sides there is a gap on one which is not existent on the other. This is not due to poor screw placement on my part, as the pieces in question have existing dowel holes in place. Now I lack the will to complete construction of this pressboard folly, and can't imagine going through the pain of sending it back at this point. It is most likely going straight to the trash. So, if you are contemplating buying this piece I would advise you to find a better use for that $50. Perhaps going to a diner with a jukebox and playing "What's New Pussycat?" 50 times in a row, or crumpling up single dollar bills into a pile, then setting fire to those bills and spend the next 2 minutes roasting marshmallows. This item would have a negative star rating if that were possible.
