We received our water yesterday and immediately upon opening the box found there to be a really intense odor coming from the package. It was so noxious and strong that we had to put the entire case and box outside in our garage. Now whenever anyone goes into the garage the smell seeps into the house. Unsettling to say the least. We tried washing some of the bottles by hand and while some of the smell was removed, it definitely lingered. I compared the taste to a different bottle purchased at the store and they are distinctly different, with the Amazon bottle having a bitter aftertaste. Our guess is that the bottles have been stored in an area that exposed them to either water damage/mold, chemicals/cleaning solvents, or in a great deal of heat causing the plastic to release the odor. It's an odd mixture of mildew and chemical odor and it's all over our hands after touching the bottles too and very difficult to wash off. Seriously gross and makes me wonder what we've brought into our home and what we might be ingesting if we drink the products. Would love to know how these were stored in the warehouse. I should also mention that the "expiration date" is only a year from now which leads me to believe this pack has been sitting around in a warehouse for years.
