Update: Although the Kindle Fire 8 may be the worst kindle fire so far IMO, Amazon's customer service is great and gives me hope that maybe the next iteration of the kindle fire will be much better. After leaving my 1 star review a very nice customer rep for kindle devices from Amazon took the time to personally call me to discuss my concerns about the device. She really made me feel that Amazon does care about their product and a legitimately concerned about their product. So still a 1 star for the device, but a big 5 stars to Amazon customer support. This was to be my third fire hd tablet, liked my first gen, loved my third gen. Did not like his new one. The plastic feels cheap, the battery life is no where close to advertised, it resets while playing games, the default weather app does not even work and I can not uninstall it. I'm sending it back. It just feels outdated especially for a new tablet. Sorry Amazon maybe it's time for a real overhaul for the fire tablets.
