The cashews were very dark and over roasted. More than half of the cashews were so hard, you could not even bite into them. The rest of the overly crunchy cashews had a burnt unappealing taste. I am very disappointed in this product. Premium Quality, I should say not. Whole Cashews, about 35-40% were just pieces. The quality of Planters Whole Cashew products has gone way down. I used to buy the 1 lb. can of Planters Deluxe Whole Cashews, and I would enjoy the light tan, creamy taste of mostly whole cashews. Recent purchases of the 1 lb. can of Planters Deluxe Whole Cashews have been disappointing. There were more halves and pieces than whole cashews, and the color of the cashews was darker. (At least most of the cashews in the 1 lb. cans were "edible".) So, I purchased this 2 lb. container of "Planters Fancy Whole Cashews with Sea Salt: Premium Quantity Jumbo Cashews" in the hope that I would once again find the light tan, creamy taste of the Planters Cashews I once enjoyed. I was mistaken, and I am left to wonder if Planters, now Kraft Heinz Foods Company, has any quality control procedures. Planters nuts used to be known for high quality nuts. I never expected to receive a non edible container of cashews with Planters on the label.
