Total waste of money! I happily used this rechargeable brush for about 9 months. Then it went bad - it ceased to operate properly in the so-called ‘white’ mode, and at the same time, in all modes, emitted a new, high-pitched whining sound. This problem was reported to Philips. After a few questions, the service rep arranged shipment of a replacement brush, i.e., as soon as I used their prepaid label to return the ‘old’ brush. The replacement brush operated properly for 48 hours before failing in the same way as the original brush. Same story with a different service rep: send the ‘old’ brush back and they would send a new brush. Again the ‘new’ brush failed, this time after 72 hours, i.e., after the 6th use. I tested my wife’s brush - same model - with a new brush head: same problem in ‘white’ mode. In other words, four out of four toothbrushes fail to operate properly in white mode. So, my conclusion can only be that Philips cannot produce a toothbrush that operates properly for more than a few uses. Don’t bother with this piece of junk.
