WARNING - This is not like your old VCR. It does not have a clock, it gets it's time and other information off the stations it's tuned to. It suffers the same issues as the mediasonic 150PVR in that for some stations programed channels and events disappear, folders disappear, recordings do not get made. It searches for information from the station and if the station you want to record does not transmit that information it deletes your channel number and sometimes the entire event from the recording list. When this happens nothing gets recorded. It has nothing to do with single strength or antenna. When I complained to mediasonic tech support they sent me a software upgrade which has even more bugs than the original software, and now they are refusing to send me a copy of the original software it came with claiming they don't keep copies of old software. Right. Is that the type of technical support you want to deal with? The original software deleted channel numbers from events whenever the box was put in standby, the new software deletes the entire event even if the box is left on. If you go to their forum you will see the 150PVR has suffered from this same issue since 2013, so they have no intention of fixing it. And oh, by the way, for warranty they want you to send them $15 and pay for shipping. My recommendation - Do you feel lucky? If not - DO NOT BUY.
