I've had my grinders for 4 years. This is decent money to me but I loved the look and feel of these grinders at BBB and I liked the level of grind is set and not a guess, so I went for it. Year 1 Within months, much of the print is worn off. Especially the salt since that gets more use here. it is also clear that I have to wipe up where ever these sit because they leave a trail of grindings. I have since noticed a tray and it would definitely be worth $10, it should come with it. Year 2 the salt has no markings at all. Frustrating for the kids but I do know my settings by heart although I am tired of grindings on every counter they touch. Year 3 the pepper mill has splintered. I can't feel it inside or out, just see it so I keep them. I do enjoy how they grind. At the end of year 4 and I'm done. They are now embarrassing to sit out and i'm pretty disappointed that $70 lasted just 4 years. One last note, the grinding mechanisms that are guaranteed are still perfect.
