I have had nothing but problems with the service provided by Synchrony Bank who services your amazed.com Credit Card account. Following is the content of a note I sent to Synchrony Bank over my attempt to make a payment today. I sent them: “I just wanted to let you know that I think your automated payment process system is a total failure for my purposes. All I wanted to do was make a payment on my account I have been paying my account using my Debit Card, but my debit card was hacked and I now have a new one. All I wanted to do was change the number, I do not want to give you my checking account information as I did not want you messing about in my checking account. Based on my experience today, you cannot be trusted to follow my instructions. I used your question system, explained what I wanted to do, and was instructed by Tina Adams in message number 6448646 to make a payment on the phone and that the information would be recorded. I have been trying to make that payment for several hours, and I finally got through in the 6th attempt where I thought at last I would be able to complete this transaction. No luck. You want me to give you my checking account so that you can ACH my account. I don't want to do that. So until such a time as you figure out how to talk to me, you will have to deal with processing my check. I will be asking Amazon to consider another vendor to continue this service. I have wasted an enormous amount of time today messing around with you. On a scale of 1 to 10, ten being the best and one being the worst, I would rate your service as a minus 6.” I have really liked Amazon Prime, and Amazon is the first place I go when I am considering a purchasing an item I may need and want. Having an account with Amazon seemed to be a good way to go. I did not realize just how much trouble it would be to use this account. I will continue to do business with Amazon but I will no longer be using your credit card account, unless or until you can provide a vendor that I can work with.
