I will let others speak to how well (or not) this saw works, I bought it because I have all the other Ryobi 18v tools and have been relatively happy with them. NOT so with this item. I cannot believe that Ryobi would put a product on the market that has a KNOWN design flaw, and attempt to rationalize it by burying it in the instructions. I would not even have known about this had I not read the manual, (and a lot of people don't) so here's what it says verbatim; "It is normal for lubricant to seep from the saw when not in use. To prevent seepage, empty the oil tank after each use." WTF??? Now, when they say "seep", what they really mean is LEAK. Thank goodness I set it down on a plastic work table last night, because when I got up today it was sitting in a pool of oil. None of my other chainsaws LEAK, I don't understand how Ryobi could put something with such an obvious problem on the market. So, unless you are ok with draining the oil every single time you use it, or storing it in a bucket, DO NOT BUY THIS SAW!
