I remembered those Norelco Christmas ads from the 70s with Santa riding a razor like it was a sled. I figured that if this brand and style of razor still existed it must be pretty good. I've given it a solid month -- long enough to get used to it -- and it's been a big disappointment. It takes way too long to simply shave my face with this thing (average whiskers). I was counting on a new razor to perform better than my 15-yr old Braun that finally bit the dust. This new one seems incapable of shaving certain areas, like the whiskers just don't get into the blades, no matter how many passes and how many directions, whether in a circular pattern or straight at it. And while it generally doesn't give a good, close shave, it also manages to give me razor burn on my neck. I'm going to have to buy a different one -- this one is kind of worthless.
