Professional carpet cleaner? Really?
With 1800+ square feet of off-white carpet and 3 large dogs, I decided that I needed to upgrade to a "professional" level carpet cleaner. Based on the outstanding reviews received by the Bissell 86T3, it seemed as if this was the machine I needed. WRONG! One of the touted benefits of a "professional" level carpet machine over a "consumer" level was the quality of build and, thus, the absence of leaking water tanks. The attached photos will say it all! At the end of every back stroke, the machine would consistently leave splotches of dirty water. Once you complete a few rows, you would then have to go back and clean the dirty splotches left by the machine. This cycle would repeat itself, causing more work and more time. Whenever the machine was turned off, a puddle of dirty water would be deposited onto your newly cleaned carpet at the front of the machine. Now the challenge was to turn the machine off once on the tile floor or on an old towel so it wouldn't leak on the carpet.
It seemed that this particular machine was a lemon. After all, what about all of those great reviews? So I returned it in exchange for another one. The new one arrived and...SAME THING!
The frustration was too much to bear. I'm returning it for a full refund.
