This purchase was a complete waste of money. The fruit flies fly past it and have multipled significantly. It does not work. It works with a short USB cord that you have to plug into a phone charger. Thus, the machine has to be near an outlet to turn on. You will need a USB outlet connector and an extension cord to put it where you need it. You go through all that and it doesn't work. smh!
