I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. And honestly, free was too much. I felt obligated to finish the book, since I was supposed to review it, and those are a couple of hours of my life that I will never get back. The characters are two-dimensional, the details of his career and certain key events in the story were not researched at all and are not plausible, and the "plot twists" that some reviewers have mentioned were contrived. The sex scenes were an odd mixture of blunt, almost crass, description and clinical detachment; there was nothing sexy about them. These excerpts should give you some indication of how these passages read: "my lady parts woo-wee'd" and "She was squirming on the bed when she suddenly felt his hand. It has found its way between her thighs, where she was soaking wet and ready for him." The entire book needed a proofreader, as well as a copy editor and a substantive editor. To sum up, this book was a hot mess with more typos than the average social media post.
