Not new by any means. I understand a lot of these sellers buy complete kits in bulk and then part them out for more money since people are more opt to buy a drill under $200 than to buy a “starter kit” for $500+ That being said, the impact has clearly been used for a decent amount of time as the battery port shows signs of wear that could only be caused by repeated changing of the batteries over extended periods of time. I’ve heard of people buying these tools, putting protective cases on them and then reselling them as “new” when they in fact are highly used but have been careful not to cause any external damage to make it appear as if it is fresh out of the box. I don’t have a problem with a lightly used tool but seeing as how the battery terminal connection is hardly set in its place, I can imagine how much wear it’s already been through and how much life I’m even going to get out of it before it needs further repairs. Only writing this review as a buyers beware. Has nothing to do with Amazon or Dewalt, clearly this is an issue of the person/company selling these tools on amazon. I honestly was originally going to buy a Milwaukee but I already have other DeWalt tools and batteries and thought I’d spare my wallet the extra expense. You get what you pay for. Safe to say I’ll be returning shortly
