just received the product today. so far, for the price, it seems fantastic! seems very durable, solid, and high quality. the hinge and spring mechanism seems very smooth and strong... no complaints, yet... if i find anything wrong, I will come back and update. UPDATE (8/27/2015) THE FAKE GRANITE IS STARTING TO FLAKE OFF OF THE TOP IN LESS THAN A MONTH!!! I have not even had this table a month and no one has even touched it. I live alone and it is just set up in the living room more for decoration than anything else. I went into the room today and slid my bare hand across the table and noticed the edge was rough. I wiped it lightly and a chunk of the fake granite coating came off of the lid. Either this is a horrible defect in my less than 30 day old table, or its a total piece of garbage...
