I installed the ecobee and after 2 days of working, my heat stopped working. I woke up to my house being 50 degrees. I spent some time with the support and they ended up telling me everything with the thermostat seems to be fine and the problem was with my furnace. I would need to call a HVAC technician to come take a look at the furnace. The HVAC technician bypassed the ecobee and was able to see the furnace was fine and the problem was with the thermostat. He turned the heat back on by putting on the old thermostat. So not only did this stop working after 2 days but I also had a $100 repair bill from the HVAC company. ecobee wouldn't help me out at all on the bill. They claimed they ruled out any issues with the thermostat and stand by their conclusion but would let me return the unit if I wanted. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend this product nor the ecobee support. I'm buying a Nest instead.
