I applied for the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card issued by Chase, and received an email notice last week that my request for the card was approved. The card and accompanying documents were received today. When I tried to confirm receipt of the card on the website, I was informed that my card account did not exist!!!. When I called for further information by phone today, I was informed that my card was still being looked into. I do not understand how I have been approved, sent the card, and still have not been approved.I have an excellent credit rating and have gotten several different credit cards with no comparable difficulties. I do not know how this will be played out, but buyers should be concerned!. Note there are other individual stories suggesting problems with Chase handling of this card. It is a pity, because this is potentially a good bargain. I should point out that many individuals have had no problems, but at this point, I find this no comfort. I am awaiting further communication from Chase.
