Theft and deception!!!
Advertised as mil-spec... It's definitely not REAL 550 chord! True mil-spec 550 chord has 8 inner strands, 7 of the inner strands are composed of 3 white strands twisted together creating a single filament. 7x3=21. Plus it has a "mil-spec" identifier strand composed of 2 thin black filaments twisted over a single white filiment creating a smaller 8th inner strand. What I received was not anything close to mil-spec. It has ONLY 7 inner strands, each is composed of 2 strands of white twisted together to make a single inner strand... Thus 7 x 2= 14 which is significantly less robust when compared to true mil-spec 550... I have a single spool of real 550 from my last deployment to Afghanistan and I use it as a baseline when comparing "civilian" 550. I would be fine with a rope claiming to be mil-spec if it had 7x3 strands without the black inner designator... But to create something with 33% less strength and try to pass it off advertising Mil-Spec is absolutely theft and deception!
